Take a journey to the Celtic Goddess of Healing, Hearth & Home, Poetry and Smithcraft.
Spend Sunday morning going to a different kind of church: the inner sanctum of your heart. In the Celtic Wheel, Feb 1st and 2nd are known as IMBOLC, the turn in the wheel which heralds the season of Spring.
As we yearn for the warmth of the sun, we will take a meditative journey to Brigid to find those hidden possibilities and potential waiting to burst within us and FOR US. We will also take a close look at another Celtic Goddess, the Cailleach Beara, or Hag of Winter, exploring how important it is to trust those shadow lands within, as they have much to teach us. Brigid is also known as “the Gaelic Mary.” This special offering is especially geared to those who are in healing & helping professions such as teachers, massage therapists, nurses, and caretakers of any kind.
The morning will include toning to heal, story-telling, a guided meditation to the Spirit of Brigid, and a little singing. Silence-as-prayer and a group blessing-of-the-mantles will end our time together.
What to bring: Water bottle, a favorite shawl or small, special piece of fabric/material, an open heart.
**Please note: This is Super Bowl Sunday, an infamous day for the up-tick of domestic violence. 30% of ticket sales will be donated to Through These Doors, a non-profit organization dedicated to ending domestic violence in the Portland area & Cumberland Co
